The PATAFEST project invites researchers, practitioners, policymakers and stakeholders to join the upcoming webinar “From Detection to Decision: Building the Next Generation of Sustainable Pest and Chemical Risk Management in Europe.” The event is organised by NextGenBioPest and will take place online on 17 March from 10:30 to 12:00 (CET).

This 90-minute session will bring together several EU-funded projects working on innovative approaches to pest and chemical risk management, including SAGROPIA, SYBERAC, SAFWA Prima, FORSAID and EUFAWREADY.

Sustainable pest management is a key challenge for European agriculture and ecosystems. Protecting crops while reducing reliance on chemical pesticides requires new approaches that combine early detection, environmental risk assessment, biological solutions and practical strategies for adoption in the field. The webinar will explore how these elements can work together to support more resilient and sustainable plant protection systems.

During the event, PATAFEST will present “Cultivating Resilience: Driving Sustainable Potato Protection and Postharvest Excellence,” highlighting how the project contributes to improving sustainable protection and postharvest management in the potato sector.

The webinar will conclude with a joint discussion on how to bridge the gap between innovation and practice and how different tools and approaches can support the future of sustainable plant protection in Europe. The session will be recorded and later made available on the NextGenBioPest Innovation Hub.

Don’t miss this chance to discover cutting-edge approaches to sustainable pest management and learn from leading EU projects. Register now to join the discussion, explore innovative solutions, and connect with the European community driving the future of sustainable plant protection!
